Gotcha day gifts
What a gotcha day is
A gotcha day is the anniversary of the day an adopted pet came home: from a shelter, a rescue or a friend. Many families celebrate it instead of a birthday, especially when the real birthday is unknown. A gift with the pet's face, name and the date makes it feel like the occasion it is.
Put a line such as Happy Gotcha Day, Home since 2022 or Rescued and loved under their name. The sample is a ginger cat called Ollie, drawn in our cartoon style from an AI-generated photo.
A photo from the first day, or from today
Some people use the shelter photo from adoption day; others use how the pet looks now, settled and happy. Either works if the face is clear. For a then-and-now gift, put both on one mug as two pets.

Questions
Can I add the adoption date?
Yes. Add the date or the year as a line under their name, up to 24 characters.
Can I use the shelter's photo?
Yes, if the face is clear and not too small. We check the size when you upload and tell you if it would print soft.
Which pets can you draw?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, horses, reptiles and chickens.
Every sample on this page is an AI-generated pet drawn by our own pipeline, never a customer's pet. Yours is drawn from your photo, and you see the design before you pay.
