Photo tips for pets
Watercolor forgives a lot: a slightly soft phone photo still paints well. What matters is light, so pick one taken by a window in daylight, with the eyes open and the face filling a good part of the frame.
What the watercolor style looks like
Our AI artist paints your pet with wet-on-wet washes that bloom at the edges, a little pigment granulation and a few pencil lines showing through, so it reads like a painting rather than a filter. The edges fade softly into the white of the mug, which is why this style suits light coats, grey tabbies and pastel colors so well.
It is the gentlest of our styles, which makes it the one people choose most for gifts for mothers and grandparents. You see three poses before you choose, and you can switch to cartoon or realistic with one tap if you want to compare.

Questions
Will the colors match my pet?
Watercolor softens colors a little, but markings, eye color and coat pattern stay. If a drawing misses a marking that matters to you, redraw it or try another photo before you order.
Is it real watercolor paint?
No. It is drawn in a watercolor style by our AI artist from your photo, then printed onto the mug, which is dishwasher and microwave safe.
How does the design work?
You upload a photo, and our AI artist redraws your pet in the style you pick. You see the design on the mug before you pay, and we print exactly that design (without the PREVIEW watermark).
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can make a few free designs a day without an account or card. You only pay if you order.
What photo works best?
One pet, face clearly visible, in good light and close up. Photos where they are small, blurry or in a group work less well.
Can I change the name?
Yes. Type it in and it updates on the mug straight away. After you order, reply to your confirmation email within 2 hours if anything needs fixing, before it goes to print.
When will it arrive?
It takes 2 to 5 business days to print, then 3 to 7 business days to ship in the US. For Christmas, order by December 4.
What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free, shipped free. You don't need to send it back.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your design. Photos are deleted automatically within 60 days, and we never use them in ads without asking you first.
