Pet Keepsake Co is a trading name of JG Core Ltd (company 16218779, registered in England & Wales; ICO registration ZC079115). We are the data controller. Questions or requests: support@petkeepsakeco.com.

What we collect and why

• Your pet photo and the designs made from it. We use the photo only to make your design. It is stored privately and never used in ads or shown to anyone else without asking you first.
• The name you type for the mug, so we can print it.
• Your name, email, shipping address and phone number if you give one. Checkout collects them and we use them to make, ship and support your order (lawful basis: contract).
• Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.
• Emails you send us at any petkeepsakeco.com address, including replies to our emails: your message, your email address and name as sent, and any attachments. We use them only to reply (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
• Free previews are limited per browser session and per connection. For that we keep a one-way hashed form of your IP address and a random session number, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot (lawful basis: legitimate interests).

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. We count visits with a cookieless counter run by JG Core Ltd (it stores no identifier on your device). If we add advertising or analytics cookies, we will ask first.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the shop work, each under a data processing agreement:

• Stripe (payments)
• Printify and its US print partners (printing and shipping; they receive your design, name, shipping address and email)
• OpenAI (turns your photo into the artwork; API data is not used to train their models)
• Supabase (database and private file storage, United States)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Cloudflare (bot checks)
• Amazon Web Services (sending and receiving email, and storing it encrypted, in London)

Some of these are in the United States. Transfers from the UK are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell or share your personal information for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Pet photos and designs: deleted automatically 60 days after upload. If your order has not gone to print by then, the design is kept until it has.
• Abuse-protection counters: deleted within 2 days.
• Order records (no photos): 6 years, because UK tax law requires it.
• Emails you send us: 12 months from receipt, then deleted, unless they become part of an order, which follows the order rule above.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@petkeepsakeco.com and we will reply within one month. If you are in the UK and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). US residents have the same choices here, whatever state you live in.
