Photo tips for horses
A side-on photo of the whole horse standing square, or a head-and-neck shot with ears forward, both work. Take it in daylight with the horse against a plain background like a fence or a field.

A fun one for young riders
The cartoon style draws your horse with smooth outlines and flat bright colors, keeping the coat color, blaze, star, socks and mane, and giving them a friendly, bright-eyed look. It reads clearly from across the barn or the kitchen.
It is a favorite for pony-mad kids and teenagers, and for a light-hearted gift for a rider. The sample is a chestnut mare called Maple. Ponies, draft horses and minis all work.

Questions
Can I use a photo of my horse in tack?
Yes, though a halter photo works better than a full bridle and saddle, which can hide the face and back. We draw what is in the photo.
Will the markings be kept?
Yes: coat color, blaze, star, socks and mane color come from your photo.
How does the design work?
You upload a photo, and our AI artist redraws your horse in the style you pick. You see the design on the mug before you pay, and we print exactly that design (without the PREVIEW watermark).
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can make a few free designs a day without an account or card. You only pay if you order.
What photo works best?
One horse, face clearly visible, in good light and close up. Photos where they are small, blurry or in a group work less well.
Can I change the name?
Yes. Type it in and it updates on the mug straight away. After you order, reply to your confirmation email within 2 hours if anything needs fixing, before it goes to print.
When will it arrive?
It takes 2 to 5 business days to print, then 3 to 7 business days to ship in the US. For Christmas, order by December 4.
What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free, shipped free. You don't need to send it back.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your design. Photos are deleted automatically within 60 days, and we never use them in ads without asking you first.
In loving memory
A soft watercolor portrait from a favorite photo, with their name and a few words. Older photos work well.
