Photo tips for hamsters
Snack time is photo time: a sunflower seed keeps them still for a second. Use burst mode, get close and keep the light soft; evening lamp light makes golden fur look orange.

Tiny and painted
Hamsters are all round cheeks, tiny paws and soft golden fur, and watercolor paints them with a light touch: warm washes, a few loose pencil lines and bright black eyes. The sample is a golden Syrian called Nibbles, holding a seed.
Dwarf hamsters, Roborovskis and Chinese hamsters work just as well. Their lives are short, so this is also a gentle way to keep one, during or after.

Questions
My hamster is tiny in the photo. Will it work?
Crop close or take a new photo with the hamster filling most of the frame. We check the photo when you upload and tell you if it is too small.
Can I add the seed or toy?
If it is in the photo, it usually stays in the drawing, like the seed in our sample.
How does the design work?
You upload a photo, and our AI artist redraws your hamster in the style you pick. You see the design on the mug before you pay, and we print exactly that design (without the PREVIEW watermark).
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can make a few free designs a day without an account or card. You only pay if you order.
What photo works best?
One hamster, face clearly visible, in good light and close up. Photos where they are small, blurry or in a group work less well.
Can I change the name?
Yes. Type it in and it updates on the mug straight away. After you order, reply to your confirmation email within 2 hours if anything needs fixing, before it goes to print.
When will it arrive?
It takes 2 to 5 business days to print, then 3 to 7 business days to ship in the US. For Christmas, order by December 4.
What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free, shipped free. You don't need to send it back.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your design. Photos are deleted automatically within 60 days, and we never use them in ads without asking you first.
In loving memory
A soft watercolor portrait from a favorite photo, with their name and a few words. Older photos work well.
