Photo tips for pets
Realistic shows detail, so give it detail: a sharp photo in daylight, close up, with the eyes in focus. Avoid flash, which flattens fur and turns eyes green or white.
A portrait, not a filter
The realistic style paints your pet like a high-end commissioned portrait: accurate fur or feather texture, natural light and sharp eyes, with crisp edges against the white mug. It is the closest to the photo of our drawn styles, but cleaner, with the background removed and the light evened out.
Choose it when likeness matters most: for a dog with unusual markings, a cat whose expression you know by heart, or a pet who is no longer with you. If you would rather keep the photo itself, the Your photo style cuts your pet out of it with no AI drawing at all.

How close to my photo will it be?
Very close: the realistic style keeps the pose, markings and expression. You see it on the mug before you pay, and you can redraw or try another photo.
Does the background from my photo show?
No. Your pet is drawn on clean white, so the mug looks tidy and the name sits underneath.
How does the design work?
You upload a photo, and our AI artist redraws your pet in the style you pick. You see the design on the mug before you pay, and we print exactly that design (without the PREVIEW watermark).
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can make a few free designs a day without an account or card. You only pay if you order.
What photo works best?
One pet, face clearly visible, in good light and close up. Photos where they are small, blurry or in a group work less well.
Can I change the name?
Yes. Type it in and it updates on the mug straight away. After you order, reply to your confirmation email within 2 hours if anything needs fixing, before it goes to print.
When will it arrive?
It takes 2 to 5 business days to print, then 3 to 7 business days to ship in the US. For Christmas, order by December 4.
What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free, shipped free. You don't need to send it back.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your design. Photos are deleted automatically within 60 days, and we never use them in ads without asking you first.
