Photo tips for pets
Because nothing is redrawn, the photo itself has to be good: sharp, in daylight, with the whole pet in the frame and a little space around them. A plain background makes the cut-out cleanest.
When to choose your photo over a drawing
Some photos are already perfect: the one from the day you brought them home, or a look only they ever gave you. The Your photo style keeps it exactly as it is. We remove the background so your pet stands on the white mug, and we even out the color and brightness so it prints well.
It is not AI art, so nothing about their face changes. That also means a blurry or dark photo stays blurry or dark, so we check every photo when you upload it and tell you straight away if it is too small or soft to print well.

Is any AI used on my photo?
Only to cut your pet out of the background. Their face, fur and colors are your photo, color-balanced for print, not redrawn.
Can I use an old photo?
Yes, if your pet is in focus. We check the size and sharpness when you upload it and warn you before you order if it would print soft.
How does the design work?
You upload a photo, and our AI artist redraws your pet in the style you pick. You see the design on the mug before you pay, and we print exactly that design (without the PREVIEW watermark).
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can make a few free designs a day without an account or card. You only pay if you order.
What photo works best?
One pet, face clearly visible, in good light and close up. Photos where they are small, blurry or in a group work less well.
Can I change the name?
Yes. Type it in and it updates on the mug straight away. After you order, reply to your confirmation email within 2 hours if anything needs fixing, before it goes to print.
When will it arrive?
It takes 2 to 5 business days to print, then 3 to 7 business days to ship in the US. For Christmas, order by December 4.
What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free, shipped free. You don't need to send it back.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your design. Photos are deleted automatically within 60 days, and we never use them in ads without asking you first.
